Hunter’s Bar and Grill, originally named Hunter’s Inn, opened its doors in the heart of the Potomac Village in 1978. Hunter’s is known to many as the “Cheers of Potomac” due to its strong community presence and warm, inviting atmosphere. Local papers have praised Hunter’s Bar and Grill over the years. Washingtonian Magazine deemed Hunter’s burgers as one of “Washington’s Best”, Hunter’s received the Best of Potomac Reader’s Choice Award in 2022, and Hunter’s has also been named “the best place to meet”, “the best place to make a deal”, and “the most romantic restaurant” in Potomac, among many other accolades. Hunter’s offers a diverse menu including salads, pastas, sandwiches, burgers, seafood, and steaks as well as daily happy hour deals and daily specials.
Brothers Fred and Murray Berman purchased Hunter’s Inn in 2002, changing its name to Hunter’s Bar and Grill in 2014. The Bermans transformed Hunter’s into a popular meeting place with delicious food where Hunter’s have come to gather over the years. The Berman brothers turned the restaurant into a community staple within the Potomac community, and owners Adam and Courtney Greenberg are dedicated to continuing their legacy. The current Hunter’s team thanks the Berman family for their over twenty years of leadership and all they have done to make Hunter’s the incredible place it is today.
Adam and Courtney Greenberg, alongside Dan Seaman, a contributing partner and now the general manager of Hunter’s Bar and Grill, acquired Hunter’s in 2023 and took over full operations of the restaurant on September 27th, 2023. Greenberg and Seaman bring a combined 50+ years of restaurant leadership experience to Hunter’s Bar and Grill.
